sanneh our savior?

mls underground is reporting this morning (via the chicago tribune) that tony sanneh will train with the red bulls.

after parke went down in saturday's game, our defense got a whole lot thinner. mendes is the heart of that defense, but we can't put taylor graham or chris leitch or even tim regan in and expect to have a solid back line.

of course, it doesn't help that the walrus, freeman, and dunivant (experienced, excellent, solid players) have been out for four games.

nonetheless, we need some depth in defense (i think we've got the midfield and up front covered). sanneh would bring a wealth of talent to a struggling back line.

the article does mention he's finishing "a rehab stint," which doesn't exactly instill me with a sense of well-being (see list of experience veterans with injuries above, please), but at this point, whatever. just start plugging those holes bruce.

p.s. hmmm. wonder if wynne would have been a nice plug at the back at this point to give us some speed?
