you could say we gave it a valiant effort, but in the end, it's still a loss on the road against the basement team in a game that players knew was their last chance to show osorio that they shouldn't be benched or cut outright.
- angel finally scored again. you could see the relief on his face after the goal. and what a goal! he came out of nowhere, flying into the box and heading that ball into the net like a laser. and did you notice that when angel finally got fed up with the midfield that he started coming back to win the ball and that's when the attack started showing from the red bulls?
- oscar. i know you're not getting great service, but you have horrible ball control and don't seem to care to go after the ball. you're done.
- magee. dude. seriously? you go down easier than a prom date. stop your whining and control the midfield. good lord, it makes me miss claudio.
- sassano. if you back pass it one more time....
- dvb. thank you. i know it was difficult to get up the wing from left back b/c kansas was always in your end, but when you did it helped open up the field.
- speaking of the field, where were they playing? the local high school?
- maybe osorio was resting dane, but for 70 minutes? when he came in things started sparking. he's an important part of the attack.
okay, july 15 is upon us. three new players, a revamped attack, and some professionals. i see a whole lot of people not seeing any more time this year except for the occassional garbage time. i also expect the red bulls to be a very different team moving forward. there's no time for screwing around anymore and lax play.
and what better way to premiere the team than against golden balls himself?
